My name is Tobias Chu and I'm a photographer. I created SixSixty Studios for the Hip and Modern because I was tired of seeing photographers and photo studios churning out generic, boring, cookie cutter type photos. I have a very unique post processing style that allows me the flexibility to create an extremely creative and memorable image. Feel free to browse through my portfolio to get a feel for my personality and style.
If you're engaged and looking for a photographer I'd love to hear from you. Go to the contact page and shoot me an email. A shooting session with me will be very casual. Just imagine yourself hanging out and having a great time with your significant other and your pseudo best friend (ME). I guarantee that I'll make you laugh. ;)
I currently travel between Singapore, Hong Kong, Shanghai, and Vancouver but I'm available for work both nationally and internationally…so if you like what you see, let's work something out.
I’m back in Hong Kong finally! Won’t be here long though, a shoot on Thursday night and then I’m off to Tokyo for a week. I have a ton of updates coming soon but for now, here’s a quick post on the Hamilton House in Shanghai.
Since returning from Bali, I’ve been in full editing mode. I’ve literally bolted the doors and refrained from eating/sleeping/bathroom breaks/etc. until I’ve finished a huge chunk of it. Really…I have! :) In the meantime, here’s another teaser of a wedding in Vancouver. *Millie: Hope you had a great time on your honeymoon…try to get some [...]

One of the things I miss most while living in Asia is the Vancouver summers. Agnes and Mark are already great looking people, but add along the amazing scenery of Vancouver and you have gold. We had a few delays on organizing this shoot while I was in Vancouver due to fireworks and crowds, but [...]
Here are some teasers of my first Hong Kong pre-wedding shoot. I had been meaning to post these photos awhile ago but have been mad busy lately with projects and weddings. Better late than never! ;)
This is a huuuge post. I must have gone through my shots over a dozen times trying to choose just a few to post here. Impossible. I sill most definitely have to include a Part II for the teasers because the shots/location/couple/EVERYTHING are just THAT good! Welcome to Chateau Challain…
I’m in editing overdrive right now. Sorting out a ton of things before my flight to Vancouver tomorrow morning. Here’s a quick teaser of Laurence & Alex in Shanghai. Lau & Alex decided to have their marriage at the French Consulate with close family and friends. The Religious ceremony will be taking place in France [...]

Sergiy and Oksana have been living in Shanghai for roughly 7 years and live in this amazing complex in the ‘Dong. Had I known about their amazing facilities sooner I would have shot them there instead of the Bund. In any case, they were a ton of fun to shoot…especially the 2 girls. ;)
New to Shanghai, Eric and Ruth-Ann decided that they wanted to have some engagement photos shot at the Bund before returning home to LA for their wedding. Luckily we were shooting during a time where the weather was at it’s absolute best in Shanghai. I don’t think we could have asked for better weather that [...]
For those of you in Shanghai who are looking for some amazing American cuisine, Madison is the new kid in town right smack dab in the middle of the French Concession. A place for great food and great times with great people. No. 18 Dongping Lu, 3F (between Wulumuqi Lu and Hengshan Lu)
Kelley & Eduardo are two of Shanghai’s best known restaurateurs among the expat scene. They, along with their managing partners, decided to create this booklet which showcases each of their restaurants. Photos of the chef/management team were then taken for each individual concept. The project was extremely challenging from the beginning as we had a [...]
Have had an extremely busy few weeks of shooting and not much time for editing…so don’t be surprised to see some frequent updates as I finish polishing off a few projects. Up first…Sam and Teddy. Sam and Teddy first met each other at Fudan University, so we decided to have the shoot on campus to [...]
Flora and Han were a blast to shoot with. They have this really rockin motorbike which we took for a spin around the city. The helmets and goggles look great as well…the little details count. ;) Also, this is only Part 1. Stay tuned for some Polo action!
*edit, I recently added more photos to this post….so enjoy. :) Cici and Kevin (also living in Shanghai) happened to be in Vancouver the same time I was. So I convinced them to have their engagement session in Vancouver as the weather would be muuuuuuch cooler. Summer time…Vancouver…could you ask for anything more? =]
Yes, we even have access to beaches in Shanghai. Okay fine…they’re man-made, but we take what we can get right? Spent a terrific autumn day at Sculpture park with Hank, Jessie, and Shadow. If you have a dog, you should definitely check it out.
