Fort Canning Shenanigans: A Family Photoshoot with History, Hills & Hilarious Moments

January 16, 2025

What do you get when you mix a fun-loving family, towering trees, and just the right amount of humidity? A wildly joyful photoshoot at Fort Canning Park in Singapore, of course!

Tucked right in the heart of the city, Fort Canning feels like a green escape with a story to tell—minus the passport. We spent the morning exploring its leafy paths, ducking under giant tree canopies, and finding those perfect little pockets of light where everything just glows.

The kids ran wild (as they should), leaves were thrown, piggyback rides happened, and we may or may not have played a game of “who can spot the biggest tree” (spoiler: they’re all big). There’s something about those majestic old trees—rooted in history, full of character—that makes every photo feel a bit more magical.

As a family photographer in Singapore, Fort Canning is one of my go-to spots when you want a mix of nature, space, and a little old-school charm—without needing to hike a mountain or melt in the midday sun (well, not too much anyway).

If you’re dreaming of a family shoot that feels like a walk in the park—literally—Fort Canning delivers all the leafy goodness you need.

Want to hang out under some very photogenic trees? Let’s make it happen.
